Objects of The Trust

HH Shrimad Varadendra Tirtha Swamiji of Kashi Math Samsthan was renowned for proficiency in Ayurveda among many other extraordinary skills.

To honour the hallowed memory of Revered Swamiji, His Holiness Shrimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, the then Mathadipati of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan desired that a Trust to propagate Ayurveda should be setup.

Accordingly, SHRI VARADENDRA CHARITY TRUST was set up vide a Deed of Settlement dated 31st October, 1970 by His Holiness Shrimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, for achieving the following Objectives

• For the advancement and propagation of the AYURVEDA SYSTEM OF MEDICINE and for that purpose the establishment and support of Ayurvedic Medical Institutions, Hospitals and dispensaries, Educational Institutions like colleges, schools, libraries and other seats of learning for the administration and science of Ayurvedic Medicines and such other institutions connected therewith
• For the relief of poor by offering financial and other assistance for education in general and the education for acquiring knowledge of Ayurvedic system of Medicine in particular
• For medical relief in general and through application of Ayurvedic Medicines in particular
• For advancement of any other object of general public utility
